Nursing Beyond the Classroom

Nursing Study Abroad Image

Outside of the classroom, students will have many opportunities to display their talents and clinical competencies in nursing care within the local community, across the U.S., and globally through service-learning initiatives while earning credit toward their nursing degree.

Capa Global Health image

PC nursing students will engage in clinical healthcare right in the vibrant Providence and Rhode Island healthcare community. Students also will have opportunities to perform clinical and community health experiences in other cities, such as Boston and New York. A number of exciting options also exist to experience global perspectives in healthcare while studying abroad. These include experiences in Puerto Rico where the Dominican faith community has deep ties to health delivery systems.

Short-term early summer Maymester programs also are available for PC nursing students through our partnerships that provide global health programs.
