PC Summer Nursing Academy

After their first year, SNHS nursing students are invited to participate in the PC Summer Nursing Academy, part of the larger SNHS Summer Healthcare Academy. This immersive 8-week program combines hands-on clinical experience with professional development. Students live on campus while working three 12-hour shifts per week at local hospitals as licensed nursing assistants, gaining direct exposure to patient care in acute care settings.

In addition to clinical work, participants engage in seminars with hospital nursing leadership, team-building activities, and social experiences on campus. Students earn a competitive salary while developing critical skills and confidence that prepare them for future nursing practice. Costs and program details are updated annually.
